Kim Snape

Labour & Co-operative County Councillor for Chorley Rural East &
Borough Cllr for Heath Charnock & Rivington

Ashfield Road

Following our recent visit several residents raised concerns over parking issues along the double yellow lines within the vicinity of The Co-Op.

County Councillor Snape has enquired with Lancashire County Council and received the following responseI can confirm that parking services have received two enforcement requests for this location in the last 12 months.  Although parking services will react to requests from the public, if repeated requests are received for locations where the Civil Enforcement Officers have previously visited but do not observe any vehicles parked in contravention then future visits may not be undertaken.  I have been advised that following the two requests mentioned above CEOs did make a site visit and on both occasions no vehicles were observed parked in contravention.”

We all live in the village and acknowledge that there is an issue at this location but it does appear that Lancashire Parking Services are not receiving the complaints to highlight the issue. We also suspect that they maybe coming at the most random times of day

In response to this we ask that you visit www.kimsnape.com go to the Ashfield Road website and download the letter of protest to Lancashire County Council asking them to pay greater attention to this area particularly of weekends and evenings.

See link here please email it to john.fillis@lancashire.gov.uk or post it to the address on the letter
